Mercy For Animals Canada is dedicated to preventing cruelty to farmed animals and promoting compassionate food choices and policies.

Our Vision

MFA Canada works to create a society where all animals are treated with the compassion and respect they so rightfully deserve. We serve as a voice for animals through proactive consumer education initiatives, cruelty investigations, corporate outreach, and legal advocacy.

The Plight of Farmed Animals

Over 99% of the cruelty to animals in Canada occurs at the hands of the meat, dairy, and egg industries which confine, mutilate, and slaughter approximately 700 million land animals each year.

Despite the fact that huge numbers of farmed animals are badly abused in Canada, they have very few advocates. That is why it is so important that we stand up and become a voice for the most defenseless.
